ABOUT

Thanks for stopping by! My name's Terri, but my friends call me Tee.  I'm wife to B, mother of two boys, and an interior design junkie.

I spent the first 23 years of my life in the little mill town of West Monroe, Louisiana (now made famous by the Robertson family of Duck Dynasty fame) where vowels are stretched into two syllables (as in "Mama's ee-un the kitchen makin' supper") and  trucks are more often than not, jacked up on mud tires and sporting big ol' gun racks in the back window.  Almost everybody has at least one pair of cowboy boots, and the last time I checked, they were even still playing Dixie at Rebel football games. My childhood days were spent reading Nancy Drew in a pink bedroom straight out of the Sears and Roebuck catalog, playing Dixie Youth softball, water skiing on the Ouachita River, cruising Forsythe Avenue and Thomas Road on Friday nights, ignoring the sweltering heat, and generally taking for granted the fabulous food Louisiana is famous for.

In 1990 I followed my honey to this buttoned up banking town of Charlotte, and after two decades, two babies, and three  five houses, it feels like home.

In fall 2007 we began building our dream house, and two days before Thanksgiving 2009 we hauled in the moving boxes. God is so good.

I'm a girly girl. I like new clothes, old houses, all things French (especially Louis Vuitton), shiny baubles, tarnished silver, candles and chick flicks. Then there is that shoe and purse "issue" my poor parents had to deal with from the time I was old enough to walk.

Let's see...what else?

I'll use any excuse I can think of not to cook.

Cry at the drop of a hat.

  I. HATE. COLD.

Prone to motion sickness.
(Planes, cars, cruise ships, tour buses - you name it, I've barfed on or around it.)

Slowest runner on earth.

Late for my own wedding.

Terrible at card games.

Spelling and grammar errors drive me insane.
Not sayin' I'm perfect.
Just sayin'.
