Oh, De Dough

Here's mine on the family room coffee table

next to a copy of Saladino Villa (a Christmas gift from B)

and a marked up copy of 1000 Gifts.

I bought the bowl at the Metrolina years ago and used it for potpourri mostly.

I often left the petals in the bowl to recoat them, so the old wood soaked up all that smell-goodness.

You can still get a faint whiff every now and then.

Now it cradles a shell collection.

Sea and turtle.

Oyster barnacles.

And a shed deer antler B found in the woods a few weeks ago.

The smaller round bowl was a gift from Big T's sweetheart, Miss Anna.  She brought it home, just for me,  from Nicaragua when she was there on the second of three missions trips.

That girl knows how my heart swoons for boxes and bowls.

It now appropriately holds three sweet red hearts.

nestled in some coffee beans up under.

Yum.

Today I think I will add "found objects" and "red hearts in wooden bowl" to the list.

  1. I LOVE your shell collection. Things that I find and bring the outdoors in make me happy. : )

Love that you have Ann's book there, too! My copy came yesterday. I can't wait to read it!

  2. I love your dough bowls. So sweet that Anna brought you one. Isn't it wonderful that your son found such a sweet girl? Finally, a daughter, perhaps? We are blessed that Jenny found a great guy whom Tim can finally speak about guns with! Jen is always breaking those two boys up!
